Highlands – Machu Picchu/Lake Titicaca
$2,275 from Miami, Florida (double
occupancy)
add $450 for single occupancy
Amazon Rainforest Extension
$985 (double occupancy)
(Add $250 for single occupancy)
Due dates for payment:
$300 deposit with application
$600 due 31 March (+$200 for Amazon Extension)
$1, 375 due 15 April (+ $785 for Amazon Extension)
Total = $2, 275 for Highlands
Total = $3, 260 with Amazon Extension)
Costs includes:
All land/air transportation, most meals, transfers,
and international and intra-Peru departure taxes.
Not included:
Transportation to/from Miami;
Travel/emergency med. Insurance (encouraged but not
required)
Guide and bus driver tips (total of about 35-45 per
person)
Passports costs
Immunizations (Consult the Center for Disease
Control for recommendations for Peru
Keep in mind that ATM machines are limited in Peru,
checks and travelers checks are NOT accepted, and credit cards are still
only accepted in the larger cities. Some tourist shops in Lima and Cuzco
accept credit cards, primarily VISA.

Financial Aid
Financial Aid is usually available for some
education-related expenses. Contact the Financial Aid Office at FGCU,
(239-590-7920) for specific information regarding possible money available
for summer study and travel.
Service Organizations and clubs may be willing to
offer support for study abroad programs if a student is willing to share
the experience with club members upon returning.
