MPA Student Association In January of 1998, several MPA students started FGCU's first Master of Public Administration Association (MPAA). The MPAA's goal is to encourage networking among MPA students and outside public administrators through social functions and speaker events held throughout the year. Membership in the MPAA is free to all MPA students. ASPA Island Coast Chapter All public administration students are strongly encouraged to join ASPA, the principal professional association in the field. A national organization, ASPA is dedicated to advancing excellence in public service and asserting its dignity and worth. For additional information, such as membership guidelines and upcoming ASPA events, refer to the ASPA web page at http://www.aspanet.org. ASPA operates through a network of local chapters.
