Alumni Greeting

Greetings, Alumni and Friends!

Welcome to all alumni and friends of FGCU!  Your commitment to your alma mater makes us proud and we are grateful for your support of this fine institution.  FGCU continues to grow at a phenomenal rate.  In the Fall, 2007 semester we will go over 9,000 students and our alumni now exceeds 7,000.

We are particularly proud of recent accomplishments of our College:

  • The Professional Golf Management Program  was re-accredited by the PGA
  • A new masters degree in Criminal Justice begins the Fall of 2007
  • Our undergraduate and graduate programs in Criminal Forensics and our Resort and Hospitality Management Program are three of the fastest growing programs in the University
  • In late August, 2007, we will break ground on Sugden Hall, the future home of our Resort and Hospitality Management Program
  • In Fall, 2007, we will introduce a new certificate program in Compliance Specialist

As you can readily see, there are many great things happening in the College of Professional Studies.  But, in order to advance your College further, we need your financial support towards the Funds for Excellence campaign for alumni.

What is the Dean's Fund for Excellence?  This fund is an annual giving opportunity that directly supports the College from which you graduated.  It will assure that your College continues to expand its offerings, enrich its programs, and further establish its reputation for quality education.

How do you make a gift?  Click Here  (Your gift is tax-deductible as permissible by law).

Did you know you could double or even triple the value of your gift?  You can do so if your employer has a matching gift program with FGCU.  If it does, ask your Human Resources Office for a Matching Gift form and return the completed form with your donation.

Thank you in advance for your generosity.  Your gift will make a real difference to the College of Professional Studies.

Sincerely,

Kenneth I. Millar, Ph.D.
Dean, College of Professional Studies
