Academic Advising

The role of the academic advisor is to provide the student with course of study in his or her desired discipline. This process begins with orientation and ends with individual counseling or senior workshops to audit graduation requirements. Advising is provided by a combination of phone appointments and emails for our students in the distance learning programs. On-campus students should attend advertised priority walk-ins and/or confirm individual advising appointments by calling the advising main line. The advisor educates the student on how to navigate their course of study and teaches them to be responsible for their progress towards degree completion.
