Mission


Mission Statement:

The Resort and Hospitality Management Program is committed to teaching, research and service that provides an outstanding education opportunity to students and a continuing labor pool of qualified individuals to fill resort and hospitality positions in the region. Industry driven curriculum and hands on industry internship experiences are the foundation of the program.

Vision:

The Vision of the Division of Resort & Hospitality Management is to combine industry specific resort & hospitality management educational instruction, classroom participation and actual hospitality experiences within a single setting. Facilities and training centers will be designed to provide "on-the-job" working experiences so that the academic product can be validated through immediate application. Classrooms will be meeting rooms.  Food and Beverage Management will be taught in a restaurant serving real patrons.  Spa, golf and club management will be taught in simulated spa, club and golf course environments. Finally the Division will add a dimension of true hospitality to the FGCU campus as the facilities become a venue for University social and celebratory events.
